It's An Addiction.

Hi, my name is Rachael and I'm a "Law & Order" addict.



I can remember the first time I watched it. I was sitting in the hospital bed of a medical ward bored out of my mind. The only non-infomercials on TV were "Hannah Montana" and "Law & Order: SVU." After watching so much "Hannah Montana" that I feared Miley Cyrus' face was etched permanently into my retinas I changed the channel to "Law & Order." The rest, my friends, is history.

Neither my mother nor I can figure out how I like or even tolerate such a show, one filled with violence and screaming, especially considering when I was little I was too sensitive to even handle "Beauty and the Beast." And I'm not gonna lie, I still find that scene when Belle is in the forest with the wolves absolutely terrifying. Maybe it's that reruns of the show are always on in some form or another, or that it can be enjoyed regardless of whether or not you have any understanding of what the hell is going on (which I never do). True, I jumped a foot last night when my sister popped a balloon with a giant bang. Yes, I consistently assume for a second that any large dark form on the ground is a dead body, but I'm willing to deal with these consequences in order to get my fix.

Hey, there are worse things to be addicted to right? So for now I've got to fly. There's a certain TV show on with my name written all over it.
